Mayor Hopkins opened the meeting at 7:05 p.m., at Village Hall, and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

MAYOR’S REPORT: Commended the Service Department for excellent care of the roads during past weeks of snow and ice and also, for a good job of draining and cleaning of the Reservoir.

ORD 2004-05 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, VILLAGE COUNCIL, VILLAGE CLERK-TREASURER AND/OR VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR TO ADVERTISE FOR THE PURPOSE OF SOLICITING BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF MAIN STREET TRAFFIC CONTROL IMPROVEMENTS, AS WELL AS AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF TRAFFIC STRAIN POLES AND PEDESTRIAN POLES FROM RATH CONSTRUCTION AND BUILDERS SUPPLY, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR TO TAKE ALL STEPS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THESE TASKS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. 1st reading. MOTION TO APPROVE WORK AUTHORIZATION TO PROVIDE ON-SITE INSPECTION SERVICES FOR CRESTWOOD SANITARY SEWER AND WATERLINE IN THE AMOUNT OF $14,400.00 was made by J. Rogers, second by M. Hura. All ayes on roll call.

R. Iafelice – Site map for WRRSP property acquisitions was given to new Council members. Charlie English has been doing work on the Schultz property and has reclaimed a large portion of this property. There is still an outstanding bill from the Turnpike. Rich will meet with E. Trego and H. Huff to discuss this bill. Also, the OTC is still billing the Village for hauling done prior to the start-up of the WWTP. This will also be discussed. He feels that the Sewer Fund cannot survive without additional revenue. Crestwood Schools are beginning work. They are using the same inspector that we will be using on the Reservoir. We need to have Crestwood deposit funds for inspection payments.

E. Trego – Curbside Spring cleanup will be on May 8th. Yesterday, the reservoir was completely drained for cleaning. No boil advisory was necessary, never a loss of pressure. Projects are back on schedule. Riverscape meeting to be held at the Park Lodge from 2 to 4 pm on March 25th.

H. Buchert – Safety meeting at 9 am on Sunday, February 23rd.

J. Rogers – Planning meeting canceled. Asked if a public hearing was necessary for the Exterior Maintenance Code. Solicitor advised that a public hearing was required and could be held prior to a Council meeting.

M. Hura – Thanks to the Service Department for keeping the snow cleaned off the skating rink.

Chamber of Commerce meeting at the Fire Station, 7:30 am, tomorrow morning.
